Alpine Driver, 44, Killed In Crash Outside CNBC Campus In Englewood Cliffs

A 44-year-old Alpine resident was killed when his car slammed into a tree on Route 9W in Englewood Cliffs over the weekend, authorities said.

The Asian driver was alone when his southbound BMW ran off the road near the CNBC Sylvan Avenue campus shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday, July 23, Detective Lt. Ronald F Waldt said.

Englewood Cliffs firefighters extricated the driver.

The Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Fatal Accident Investigations Unit was notified.
